For an exhibition at Museum Arnhem I created an analog installation displaying results from my neural cities experiments. For this particular installation, I used only pictures of the city of Arnhem for the input data. This way, the system creates new cityscapes that contain, or are based on elements seen around that city. Some things that clearly stand out are the open skies (not a lot of high rise around) and the amount of green, tree like shapes.
In reference to the work’s digital origins, the prints are back-lit, creating a sort of simple monitors.
