A (Dutch) website made for BeforExile, a photo-exposition about refugees in Burundi, Africa.
The project was initiated by journalist Jeroen Corduwener, who also wrote the texts. The photographs are by Joost van den Broek, who won the Zilveren Camera 2009 (Silver Camera 2009) award with this series.
The goal was to show the refugees as the persons they are instead of 'another refugee'. We did this by giving them their own profile page, telling about their jobs and family instead of just showing some nameless photogallery.
